Well, I am finally back after a great summer spent in different European cities. There are so many memories to share, so I have decided to start with the most memorable one of them: Florence and the Tuscany region!
You might already know that Florence is the city with the highest concentration of works of art in the world, but that's not all: It seems to have an impact on everything in Florentine life. Even the tiniest shop or the most basic market stall was a work of art in my eyes. My camera was exhausted, I tell you. What you see here is only a small part of what I have experienced, and I wish for anyone to enjoy one day a piece of that Italian paradise. Florence -and Tuscany in general- has totally pushed the boundaries of my vision of beauty and art. I can already feel the impact of that travel in my everyday life. I hope that the addresses given here will be helpful for your future stay...
Continentale Hotel: I fell instantly in love with the modern take on 1950s aesthetics in the Continentale Hotel. Also, their roof terrace has one of the best views in the city. I am crazy about this hotel and I intend to go back there.
The Gallery Hotel Art is literally opposite the Continentale, in the same street. The decor is contemporary and luxurious.
I also had the opportunity to visit (but not sleep in) the Four Seasons Florence; as mentioned before, this new hotel has been fascinating me for a while since I saw its pictures in magazines. What can I say? The constant presence of Renaissance art all around me (the hotel was built in a Renaissance palazzo and conventino) made me grin like an idiot from the moment I stepped in, until the minute I left...

€€€: Gallery Hotel Art or Four Seasons Florence: the first is a mix of contemporary and antique luxury, and the second has a more classic and romantic aesthetics with all the modern amenities.
Best sandwiches: Very very small wine and sandwich bar I Due Fratellini makes excellent sandwiches for almost nothing, just as Nerbone and Perini at the Mercato Centrale Food Market
Restaurant: Olio and Convivium (also an excellent delicatessen)
