Even though I have clear ideas about what I want at this point, and I really take pleasure in my artistic life, I never forget that whatever talents we have, only work, dedication and perseverance - meaning action - can bring us there. 

Have a great week-end and I hope that you'll find many reasons to appreciate the life you have.

1950s chic living

I am loving these pictures from House & Garden magazine (1952, 1953 and 1954) found in the Condé Nast store. Despite the evolution of styles during the last 70 years, they show how chic living really is timeless.

A few wise words (for the week-end)

Solitude can be scary sometimes, for so many reasons. Instead of seeing only the negative aspects of it, we should embrace it instead as a time for reflection and creativity. Solitude is what helps us stay centered and prepared for when we are surrounded by the others...

It's already Easter week-end with its family traditions and chocolate eggs.

I wish you lots of fun and positive thoughts. The New Year resolutions might not be on the right track, but it's never too late to learn from past mistakes and start anew. Have a happy time!

With spring comes the need to clean the mess around us, make room for new things in our lives and plan new adventures.

There are some places I hope to visit this year. Hopefully, I'll share these travels with you.

Queen of Hearts tea party

While browsing through Burcu Avsar's gorgeous portfolio, I stumbled upon these photographs of a "Queen of Hearts"- themed tea party that I really fell in love it. It gives me ideas for a future party or lunch of my own...

For a lunch, I would add bottles from Jacq Cellars (one of my favorite brand concepts, as seen in my Pinterest), including of course Her Majesty, an excellent Chardonnay that celebrates the Queen of Hearts (bottom image, third bottle from left to right). 

A few wise words (before the week-end)

Our first spring week-end is about to start. I don't know about how things are going on in all your cities, but in Paris everybody is already out in parks and cafés, finally enjoying sun rays and green leaves.

This is the time for spring cleaning and daring new beginnings, and always trying to live our lives without regrets. Let's not forget that when making hard decisions.

As elegant as the Ritz

I am loving this series of pictures of Kate Moss in the Ritz Hotel in Paris, captured by photographer Tim Walker for Vogue. The fashion, the decors and the colors are stunning.

This photo shoot has taken place just as the hotel is about to close its doors in a few months for a two-year "unprecedented renovation". With the growing competition in luxury hotels in Paris, it is clearly a smart move from the Ritz and I am eager to see the result.
