Pink champagne + chocolate

One thing I keep bringing to my friends and relatives everytime I go to London - this habit started many years ago when I lived there -, is the pink marc de champagne chocolate from Charbonnel & Walker. I buy their pink champagne truffles as well as their pink champagne bars, and both are always met with great success. This year, I am ordering more for the holiday season...

1950s chic living

I am loving these pictures from House & Garden magazine (1952, 1953 and 1954) found in the Condé Nast store. Despite the evolution of styles during the last 70 years, they show how chic living really is timeless.

The perfect reading corner

This image I found on Pinterest (via Nina Garcia) summarizes my dream reading corner: calm, comfortabe, with a view and surrounded by books to choose from. And beautiful too. I'll have it printed and added to my real-life pinboard. 

What better books to read there than the Penguin clothbound classics that I've already started collecting (Oh what a pleasure to read Pride and Prejudice once again!...)? Or being inspired while turning the pages of these four coffee table books that celebrate beauty, elegance and living a chic or artistic life: 1. A privileged life, 2. American beauty, 3. Happy times and 4. Life in photographs.

white spaces mixed with patterns

I've always preferred white bathrooms, but lately, I have been rooting for a mix of white and patterns, especially white walls with patterned floors, or patterns in the shower corner. I find that it gives them more personality, while maintaining the pure calmness thanks to the white surfaces. What do you think?

Outdoor stripes

I have fallen in love with this Doya set of striped seat and stool by Flamant and I am dreaming to have a pair of both by the pool during holidays... I lied on the seat in the store, and believe me, I really didn't want to leave it behind. Aren't they gorgeous?

Queen of Hearts tea party

While browsing through Burcu Avsar's gorgeous portfolio, I stumbled upon these photographs of a "Queen of Hearts"- themed tea party that I really fell in love it. It gives me ideas for a future party or lunch of my own...

For a lunch, I would add bottles from Jacq Cellars (one of my favorite brand concepts, as seen in my Pinterest), including of course Her Majesty, an excellent Chardonnay that celebrates the Queen of Hearts (bottom image, third bottle from left to right). 

Lovely accessories, at home and away

What I like so much about D. Porthault - other than their fabulous linen that I cannot get enough of-, are the little accessories for the home and for travel. These little touches of colored refinement are just what it takes to make life a little more agreeable. From top to bottom: Tissue box covers, fabric photo books, lavender sachets and travel trays.
