One of the most delicious raspberry tarts that I have ever eaten in Paris comes from bakery and restaurant bread & roses. The biscuit is neither too crispy nor too moist, the cream is super light and savory and the fruits are very fresh and tasty. The only danger is that it seems so light in the mouth that one is tempted to order (or buy) a second one.

While the Galliera Museum (Paris' fashion museum) is closed for works until 2012, these gorgeous giant vintage fashion black-and-white pictures by Henry Clarke and Egidio Scaioni are the only pieces of art that we can admire. But they are enough to make me smile every time I pass by these gates.
Don't you find the vision of these b&w pictures on this building just magnificent?

These beautiful Maiaia Bowls by Silvia Garcia, are inspired by childhood memories of hand-knitted clothing. They are made of colored 60% recycled glass with a matte exterior and glossy interior, and are available from the Moma Store.

This week, we lost one of the last Hollywood icons; a lady with a huge heart who fought endlessly for just causes even in times when it wasn't trendy to do so. Elizabeth, you will be greatly missed.

With cake stands like these, you're sure to eat with eyes first before you even taste the cakes and sweets presented on them. This is more or less what owner Melody Brandon, Co-Owner & Head Pastry Chef of the dessert studio Sweet & Saucy Shop, was thinking when she decided to sell these gorgeous pieces for the cake lovers among us to present their favorite sweet findings (or makings).

The first time I entered the Fabriano boutique (mentioned before) in Florence (Italy), I almost couldn't move. All these beautiful high-quality stationery, pencils and pens presented in a clean, pure yet welcoming environment, were such a sight of perfection to me in so many ways that I didn't know where to lay my eyes first. For example, I find everything in this "antipasti" collection (see image above) very beautiful.
Visit their website and I promise you will fall for at least one of their well-crafted pieces.

Today, I keep thinking about this dessert that I ate more than a year ago at Flamant Dining. It was made of a chocolate base with chocolate mousse, red berries macaroons, strawberries, vanilla ice cream and mint leaves. Do I need to say how delicious it was? And doesn't it look totally decadent? I love this dessert!
I am now thinking about recreating something similar at home, so I'll keep you posted.

I already presented the table lamp version of this sunset lamp by Ascete before, but now I am crazy in love with its hanging version that I recently discovered. I might be tempted to choose this for my entry all since I haven't bought the balloon chandelier after all.

As I wrote before, Florence has officially the highest concentration of works of art in the world. Therefore, what you should see there really depends on how much time you have.
